So between that and work being thrown at me, I've just been exhausted.
But it hasn't just been all crappy. I've actually done a few projects to keep my mind off work and school. I found this project on Pinterest (who would have thought), and it was definitely something that was easy (and I could watch during Real Housewives, my weakness).
I followed it to this lovely lady's blog: Its Doable Blog, and below are the pictures to my finished project! It really was this easy.
the beginnings (I started painting before realizing I wanted a picture)
cutting the petals got boring. nothing a little wine and real housewives can't fix!
beaux tried to help (and eat the glue sticks)
I really love how well the entire thing turned out! It matches my pillows perfectly and filled in the blank wall above the chair in the living room. And since I made it, it is that more special!
But Justin and I didn't just stop there. We also decided to make a succulent terrarium for our dining table that we don't have (yet). Friday after dinner, we went to Home Depot (crazy Friday's in the Lewis house) and got the plants and soil, and I put Justin to work! (Just kidding, but seriously, I didn't touch any dirt. I was really more of a director in the project).
the beginning. aren't justin's white socks adorable?
beaux trying to help. again.
the finished product. i would also like to note my FAVORITE picture of zack in the background. he has my heart.
Now I have a test to go study for (it's tonight at six thirty, prays would be appreciated). First one of my graduate career, and I'm not terribly worried.
But before I go, here's a picture I received in the middle of my lecture hall class Monday night, and burst out laughing in the silent room.
adorable, right?
:)
